Here are the best things to do in Port Barton to make the most of your trip in Palawan, Philippines.
I suggest staying in Port Barton for at least two or three days. With more time, you can also take a cruise to or from Coron, then continue to El Nido and even Balabac. You can check out my articles on Coron and El Nido here.
Port Barton is a town located in North Palawan in the Philippines, south of El Nido and Coron.
Below you’ll find all the top things to do in Port Barton – from an island-hopping boat day to the best beaches to discover, including the best coffee and dinner spots.
The easiest route is to continue your trip from Coron or El Nido to Port Barton. You can book a van for the 3-hour drive.
Otherwise, you can take a plane from Manila to Puerto Princesa International Airport and book a van (around 3 hours) to get to Port Barton.
If you take the first two option and decide to start your trip in Coron and then continue to El Nido, here is the preferred way to get to Coron : Take a flight from Clark International Airport (CKK). Located around 2 hours by bus or car from Manila, this airport has direct flights to Busuanga Airport (USU). The flight is one hour only.
Port Barton is great for the wild beaches. Best thing to do is to either rent a scooter or take a tuktuk to explore the nearby beaches.
First of, the road offer stunning views :

You can then stop first at Coconut Beach. Here you will see many animals on the beach, whether it is pigs, cows or even goats.
The countless coconut trees is what’s really impressive and gave the name to the beach.

Next up, you can head to White Beach, a beautiful white sand and turquoise water beach, a few minutes away from Coconut Beach.

Finally, the main beach in Port Barton Town is Itaytay Beach. It is nice for a walk or for dinner by the beach, as there are a few restaurants with tables on the beach.
Last but not least, you can book an island-hopping boat tour. Sadly, there was a heavy jellyfish episode while we were in Port Barton, so the boat tours were cancelled.
There are a lot of good places to enjoy good breakfast, lunch or even drinks. I’ll list here my favorite ones among the ones we tried during our stay.
For breakfast, I would recommend Bikini Bakery, they have good breakfast options and delicious focaccia:
For lunch or dinner, I definitely recommend Lasanta. This spanish restaurant serves a delicious gaspacho and great tartinas. Another recommendation would have to be Oastic Beach Sunset, bonus for the sea view.

That’s it for my Port Barton recommendations!
