Top five viewpoints in Corfu

Corfu is an island full of amazing landscapes, where every corner offers a picture-perfect view. From dramatic cliffs to stunning panoramas, the island is packed with spots that will leave you speechless.

In this article, you’ll discover the top five viewpoints in Corfu, each offering a unique perspective on the island’s natural beauty and charm. Whether you’re a photographer or just love a good view, these are the places you won’t want to miss.

Vlacherna Monastery

This one has got to be my favorite !

Vlacherna Monastery and Kanoni Harbour offer one of the most unique and thrilling experiences in Corfu. Perched on a small island and linked by a picturesque walkway, the monastery provides stunning views of the serene surroundings, especially at sunset.

You can park at Kanoni Café and enjoy the view from above first.

Then, take the little path going all the way down to the harbour. You can get to the monastery by taking the walkway :

Just across the way is Kanoni Harbour, known for its super-close views of planes taking off and landing at the nearby airport. With its mix of peaceful waters and busy aviation, it’s a great spot for anyone looking to experience a blend of calm and excitement.

Paleokastritsa monastery

Paleokastritsa Monastery offers one of Corfu’s most amazing viewpoints, perched on a hill with stunning panoramas of the island’s rugged coastline and crystal-clear waters. As you make your way up to the monastery, you’ll pass by breathtaking views of Agios Petros Beach, with its turquoise waters and serene setting.

This historic monastery provides a tranquil atmosphere while taking in the impressive scenery.

cape drastis

Cape Drastis offers a unique and spectacular viewpoint, with its striking cliffs and hidden coves creating a truly breathtaking panorama. As you approach, you’ll be treated to amazing views of the turquoise waters and intricate coastal formations below.

We found it better than Kanali tou Erota, it is a bit more developed and can get a bit crowded, but it still delivers great scenery and easy access :

Garden of the people corfu

The Garden of the People in Corfu city offers a picturesque viewpoint that’s a bit of a hidden gem. Nestled in a beautifully landscaped park, this spot provides lovely views of the close-by city beach and the distant sea. Unlike more popular and crowded spots, the Garden of the People has a tranquil atmosphere where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll.

fortress corfu

The Fortress in Corfu Old town offers one of the city’s most impressive viewpoints, blending history with breathtaking scenery. Perched high above the old town, this historic fortress provides great views of the rooftops, the Ionian Sea, and the surrounding coastline.

It is a well-known sightseeing so it might attracts more visitors than some of the island’s quieter spots, but we were almost alone when we visited in early July.

And that wraps up the top viewpoints to see when in Corfu !

This top five of viewpoints in Corfu provides a great variety of stunning scenery and panoramas. Whether you’re drawn to dramatic cliffs, sweeping views, or panoramic overlooks, each viewpoint offers its own unique charm.
